#8w2 Stop Frame Animation


To continue to develop your animation in line with your user needs

Equipment and sets - do you need anything from home? 
(Scroll down for homework - due in after half  term 3rd June) 

Task 1 - CONTINUE TO DEVELOP YOUR ANIMATION 

Please be sensible with the equipment.  Using I Can Animate continue to film your scenes.

If you think you've finished - export the movie as a .wmv file  and save it in your Unit 4 Create me a Story folder - name it something sensible.

Task 2 - RESEARCH AND SAVE BACKING TRACKS 

 Find a sound track you want on youtube.  

Type in the word 'sing' before the URL - for example

http://www.singyoutube.com/watch?v=AtKZKl7Bgu0

It will now take you through a menu for you to save the sound file.  

Choose MP3 192 and Press 'Process' - it will take a while but you can then save it in your Unit 4 Create Me a Story folder.

Go back to Adobe Premiere and import your sound file - drag it down onto the Audio Line.

Now play both at the same time - your Audio and Video

HOMEWORK:  Stop Frame Animation Homework 
Set 17th May - Due Monday 3rd June. 



  • What software and hardware  skills have you learnt so far in the animation unit ? 
  • What do you need to do now to improve your animation?  (eg: add sound, special effects (which ones, green screen? ), make your storyline more appropriate ? And how will these effects or tools help to improve your animation?
  •  Is there anything you’d like to do but you don’t know how to ? What are these things? List them and explain what difference they'd make to your animation?

    1- I have learnt to use stopframe animation and the cameras. also I used how to use the software correctly to make it look more professional.

    2-to improve I will add voiceovers and soundeffects and specialeffects like explosions, bubbles and stuff to make it more professional.

    3-to make my animation really professional I would like to learn how to edit different effects and parts of the story to make it different to the other people in my groups.

    I have learnt different camera angles like close-shots, mid-shots, and hero shots. These help with the overall feel of the film.

    To improve my film I am hoping to use motion tracking and adobe after effects to show bullet holes and gun flashes

    1-The software skills I have learnt were; how to use different layers in Flash to help create a more professional animation, how far to move each character in each frame to create different effects (running, walking, jogging) The hardware skills I learnt were; how to use the “both” feature on I can animate to see how far the character has moved and if the set moved how to get it back to the same place.

    2-To improve my animation I need to add a narration, adding a narration to my animation will help the storyline become more clear and professional.

    3-I would like to know how to add different effects in adobe after effects to create a more real atmosphere in my animation.
