#10n4 Flyers

To appreciate what makes an effective flyer
To assess your flyer in line with user needs

Remind yourself of the flyer requirements.

Finish your sketch - please make sure you tidy up properly and put all the folders back.
We can take pics and upload next lesson. 

  • Experiment with Adobe InDesign.  Try this tutorial... Indesign Tutorial
  • Remember to set up 2 pages of A5.
  • Have a go at making your flyer in Adobe InDesign 
  • If all else fails - try Microsoft Publisher - remember to set up 2 x A5 pages
  • Save it in your Evidence, Flyer folder.

Start your Design Log for the Flyer, continue with your Elements Table, Plan and blog.

REQUIREMENTS BELOW

You must design a flyer to advertise the new takeaway shop. It will be delivered to homes in the area.

It must be A5 size, printed on both sides and include:
  • the logo
  • the shop name
  • information about the new shop
  • information about the healthy meals for sale
  • an image of the complete shop front
  • images of food items and the packaging
 Design the flyer. Remember you must comply with copyright.

Main 1 


  • Sketch your Flyer in your DIDA booklets.
  • Keep checking the requirements - does it meet them? 
  • What kind of information will you have on it?
  • How will it have 'visual links' to your other products.
  • Upload a pic of your sketched flyer to your Evidence Page.
