Step 1 

1. Using an Internet browser (chrome or explorer)  FIND     www.codecombat.com
2. 1.       Press Create Account, then Student Account
3. 2.       Sign up as a Student – Click on Individual Account (as there is no class code)
4. 3.       Put in your date and year of birth
5. 4.       Then create an account using your Wildern Email 

Email address                15 …………  @wildern.hants.sch.uk

User name                      Your first and Last name 

Password                      Use Your Wildern password 

Once you have set up an account, we will complete Level 1 together, discussing why we are choosing certain coding options.

Development

For discussion and investigation:

- Formal notation - builds an understanding of the importance of syntax in programming.

- Calling methods - familiarises students with the syntax of object-oriented method calls.

-  Parameters - trains how to pass parameters to functions.

- Strings - teaches students about string notation and passing strings as parameters.

- Loops - develops the abstraction of designing short programs with loops.
